Classic 45 Record: Rubber Biscuit by The Chips (Virgo 6034, 1956)Originally released on Josie 803. At #881 on Dave Marsh's list of the 1001 greatest 45's ever made, this is the original of the song that John Belushi & the Blues Brothers made famous with their 1979 cover. A rare classic! This 1973 Virgo release also has a gorgeous, rare version--from 1956 by the Blue Notes--of a tune LaVern Baker hit the charts with in 1959.
