#295 (Marsh 1001)
I'm Movin' On/ I Believe To My Soul by Ray Charles

Label: Atlantic 2043 Year: 1959
Condition: EX $15.00
No images available.Charles' first great dabblings of mixing country music with RnB. His mixture couldn't quite be described as rockabilly, though. :-_ Note: Marsh included the B side at #295 in his list of the 1001 greatest singles ever made. Note: This single is from a large collection we've purchased whose records typically have mint or near-mint audio and near-mint vinyl. The labels are near mint as well, but the owner had a habit of writing a date in small print on the B side label. This copy is a sad case, with strong near-mint audio on the A side, but only VG audio on the flip. The flip vinyl, unfortunately, has a single scratch that runs across the entire record, and causes a "pop" each rotation. Otherwise, its audio is M-, but the pop is quite distracting. The audio and vinyl grades, therefore, are a blend of two different ones. This copy is a second pressing, circa 1965, with the "fan" logo on the left.
