Here's a beautiful copy of Nirvana's first big-label 45. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is also the biggest hit of the group's short career — and their only Top 10. Further tidbits? It's one of only two major-label 45 rpm singles the group released in the U.S. before Kurt Cobain's untimely death broke them up. The A side is a specially edited version of a 5:01 album cut. The B side is a previously unreleased track from the group's catalog with indie label Sub Pop. Note: This 45 comes in a vintage DGC Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and Near Mint vinyl and audio; the audio is spoiled from a Mint grade by a touch of surface noise right at the beginning, just before the drums kick in for a bar or two, after which it's smooth, clean and powerful audio sailing for this seminal Grunge recording.
