(C45s)Lookin' For My Baby/ Cross My Heart by The Earls

Label: Rome 102 Year: 1961
Condition: M $40.00
Lookin' For My Baby/ Cross My HeartHere's a beautiful copy of the group's second Rome single, on the maroon Rome label with silver print. This was the group's followup to their first chart single, "Life Is But A Dream." The A side is a highly worthy uptempo Doo-Wop rocker... easy to recommend this one! The B side shows the group's distinctive ballad side... definitely worth a listen. Note: This 45 record has Mint labels and pristine sound.

The Earls released many 45s over the years, and most are ones Doo Wop fans will want to acquire eventually. In early 1963, after a handful of other largely ignored 45s, the group finally received well deserved fame — and an indelible spot in the history of the "white" Doo Wop revival of the early 1960s — with their hit "Remember Then," which climbed into the 20s on both Billboard's Black/RnB and Hot 100 Singles charts.
