Don't It Make You Feel Good

Stereo/Mono promo copy. This is an honest-to-goodness rocker, featuring Tasha Thomas on backing vocals for a real gospel feel. This was the group's first single and really represents the kind of music the band actually wrote and played. However, fate intervened in the form of the B side to this single, called "Brandy (You're A Fine Girl". Though this promo copy didn't have the flip side, some DJ's got the commercial release and began playing "Brandy". In a few months, Epic released "Brandy" on its own single (Epic 10874), and that pretty much ended the group's hard rock ambitions. Note: This scan is a representative image from our archives.
