Don't You Know/ There You Go Again

I know nothing about this group, which appears to have had only one U.S. single. This is a beautiful copy of the promo release for that single. The music here sits at one of the many cusps that touch upon Northern Soul: In this case, the cusp that meets up with Bubblegum Rock. This is a great sound that pleases fans of both genres. Other catchy tunes in this sub-genre — as I see it, the Soul side of Bubblegum — are "Build Me Up Buttercup," "More Today Than Yesterday" and "This Diamond Ring," among many others. By the way, the B side is a destination worthy on its own, mining a more Sunshine Pop-meets-Northern Soul vein. Note: This beautiful promo 45 comes in a vintage Deram/London Records factory sleeve. The labels and vinyl (styrene) exhibit faint storage/use wear, grading Near Mint. The audio itself is pristine... gorgeous!
