This is a new, unplayed Stereo/Stereo promo copy, pressed on clear yellow vinyl. From what I've heard, Berry Gordy decided in 1984 (or thereabouts) to try to capture some of the then-resurgent Rock market and started the Morocco label to house bands signed for that market, with producer extraordinaire Steve Barri (think Grass Roots, Tommy Roe, the Robbs...) at the helm. Kidd Glove was the vehicle for lead singer/guitarist Paul Sabu, but nothing became of it even though this first single is catchy in a "Cars meet the Knack" kind of way. The story goes that even though Motown was happy with the resultant album ("Kidd Glove"), Sabu was not. That kind of broke any promotional push the label might have tried, and singles like this one became rare artifacts pretty quickly. And a very nice one it is!
