Goodbye Girl/ Sunday Rider

Here's a beautiful Mint copy of Gates biggest solo hit, in a Near Mint copy of its original picture sleeve. It's surprising, in retrospect, that Gates never cracked the Top 10 as a solo artist (either before or after Bread). Of course, as leader of Soft-Rock pioneers Bread, Gates had racked up a remarkable number of hits in the early 1970s. This single's flip is a more-than-decent power pop tune, with the guitar man stepping out with a harder sound for a change. "Goodbye Girl" was the title song from the Neil Simon movie (based on his play) starring Richard Dreyfuss. Note: The beautiful picture sleeve has virtually no ringwear; its only flaw is a small "QQ6" inked on the back of the front cover. The labels and vinyl are pristine Mint, and the audio is as close to Mint as I've heard for this release (very close).
