An absolutely essential classic of early 1970's soul... great ear candy on both sides with horns straight out of the Stax house band's playbook. In 1972, this style of "Funky Soul" (as I call it) was on its last legs, and I personally cherish every stellar example of the sound, like this one. This style of "Southern Soul" doesn't fetch the high bucks that Northern Soul does, but on musical merit alone this single deserves a much higher valuation than it typically gets. Note: This beautiful copy has gorgeous Mint labels, with deep bright colors that especially enhance this extraordinary and unique Westbound Records label design. The vinyl and audio are Near Mint. (Have a listen to the mp3 snippet... you'll hear an occasional light bit of surface noise, but this is within Near Mint range since the audio itself is strong and undistorted.)
