Out Of The Picture/ June Bride

Both sides of this single are fine Detroit-style soul, with the A side a midtempo dancer written by none other than Tommy Boyce & Bobby Hart — the duo who would soon grace the world with bubblegum tunes like "Last Train To Clarksville," "(I'm Not Your) Stepping Stone," "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight," and "Alice Long." They had already given us, via Jay & the Americans, the hit "Come A Little Bit Closer." The flip is a ballad number, both courtesy of the great backup band that created the Golden World sound. Note: This beautiful copy has Mint labels and pristine sound.
