Philadelphia Freedom/ I Saw Her Standing There

Not appearing on any of his studio albums, this 45 record was one of Elton's tributes to the then-dominant "Sound of Philadelphia," featuring string arrangements by Gene Page. It was one of a handful of singles that also found airplay in the Black radio market. The song was also dedicated to Billy Jean King and her team, the Philadelphia Freedoms. Note that the flip features a duet with John Lennon. Note: This beautiful 45 is Mint in appearance (Labels, Vinyl). The audio grades close to Mint, as its very quiet opening is not totally without some ambient vinyl noise, but it's extremely faint and seemed to disappear after a short while. The picture sleeve grades is nearly flawless but does have a small bottom-edge split-seam.
