Victim of Love/ The Soldier's Return

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed Stereo/Stereo promo copy, in its original picture sleeve. This is one of the first singles by the U.K. duo known as Erasure. It was a top 10 hit in Britain, but it wasn't until later that the group made an impression here. Erasure was formed by Vince Clarke, who was responsible for the amazing instrumentals on some of my favorite synth-rock tracks of the early 1980's... he was one-half of the duo Yaz (Yazoo) featuring the heart-melting voice of Alison Moyet. Other than missing Moyet's singing on this track, the game is all Clarke's. The picture sleeve is almost flawless!
