Originally released on Stax 140. This great reissue, unfortunately out-of-print like all Atlantic Records titles, has both of Thomas' classic "Dog" tunes from 1963. This is one of the clear starting points for funky soul, along with the Mar-Keys' "Last Night" and James Brown's "Night Train". This is a new copy of the gold/black label Atlantic Oldies reissue, in its original factory sleeve.
