We Were Always Sweethearts/ Painted Bells

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original Columbia factory sleeve. Wow, this was quite an auspicious debut! This was Scaggs' first chart single, a wonderful uptempo Soul track that sounds like it could have been recorded by Archie Bell & the Drells! Both sides are specially edited from slightly longer album tracks of 3:27 and 4:00, respectively. Note: This beautiful copy has very light storage wear, with very nearly Mint-looking labels and vinyl (styrene), but the grooves preserve pristine Mint sound!
