Who knew Nilsson had such a powerful tenor? (Was it real, or was it Memorex?) I"ll never forget how impressed I was on hearing this nearly perfect slice of ballad-style Power Pop. The song was written, incidentally, by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of Badfinger, who were having their own self-penned hits around that time with classics like "No Matter What," "Day After Day" and "Baby Blue." Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage RCA Victor Records factory sleeve. It has a Mint A side label; the B label has a tiny date inked on it. The vinyl looks almost untouched, and the audio is so good I'm grading it Mint — not perfect, but very nearly so.
