Bettin' On Love / All My Good Lovin'

Originally released on Fontana 1599, and before that on Teri De 004. Jewell was a legendary soul producer and artist in the 1960's who died in 1996. He produced a handful of singles, including this one on his own Teri De label in 1967. Despite being picked up by Fontana for national distribution, the single went nowhere except on the radar screens of Northern Soul fans in the U.K. In his list of the 500 greatest Northern Soul singles, Kev Roberts lists this at #427. The B side of this high-quality U.K. reissue (with a small hole) is a fine dance track from a later Jewell single from 1970. Note: Both tracks are presented in their true stereo mix.
