This is an original promo copy from the
Louise Neal 45 Collection. Frisco must have been a short-lived Stax-sponsored label, as I see David Porter and Isaac Hayes both wrote and produced these tracks. The A side is an appealing ballad, but the real action is on the Northern Soul-style B side dancer. Collector Nerd Alert: Frisco released a Danny White single on catalog number 110 in 1963 ("One Little Lie"); for some reason, they re-used the number for this 1963 release. Note: This 45 is among those in the Neal collection that she may have actually played, but no more than a few times I would guess. The A label has two red promo "stars" stamped on it (see scan); the B label has no stamps but has noticeable ringwear; overall I'm grading the labels a strong EX. The vinyl and audio grade Near Mint, with a few light scuffs and occasionally lightly audible surface noise accounting for the grades.
