Datemi Un Martello/ Che M'Importa Del Mondo

This 1963 single features Italian star Rita Pavone doing the best uptempo version of "If I Had A Hammer" I've ever heard. Great arrangement, and Pavone belts out the words with obvious delight. The flip is a song from the Italian film "La Noia," starring Bette Davis. The back of the picture sleeve has a nice picture of Pavone. Note that the capitalized "Surf" on the sleeve front bears no relation to the two songs, as far as I can tell. I guess it was just a "hip" word back in 1963. :-) This Italian 45 has the usual large spindle-hole.
