Demonstration/ Johnny's Heartbreak

This collaboration with Don Covay became one of Otis Redding's very best Northern Soul-style dance numbers, backed by another great slice of funky soul! These tracks were among a generous number that Atlantic released on its Atco label after Otis' death. (While alive, Atlantic released Otis Redding's music on its Volt label.) Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Atco Records factory sleeve. The labels have no stickers, writing or ringwear, but the white color is somewhat faded (see scan); it's that flaw that reduces the Label grade to EX+. The vinyl has a few light scuffs and also grades a strong EX. The audio is strong and free of distortion; it would grade Mint but for a faint amount of surface noise that can be heard in one or two spots under the music... hence, it grades Near Mint.
