Down In The Ghetto (There's Love)

This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the Louise Neal collection. Terrific Northern Soul-style dancer... not to be missed! This promo release has the same Mono version on both sides. This is a rare, early variant that lists the artist name as "The Majors." Such copies were quickly recalled and replaced with ones listing the artist name as "The Major IV"... presumably to avoid lawsuits from The Majors group who recorded on Imperial earlier in the 1960s. Note: These beautiful copies are so close to Mint I'm tempted to grade them that across the board. The flaws they have are really insignificant: A tiny bit of storage wear on the white labels, and styrene that looks perfect but isn't perfectly flat (it has a very minor, no-impact warp). What counts most, of course, is the audio, and in this case the samples I listened to sound perfect... pristine Mint!
