Everytime/ Trying To Be Good For You

This is a new, unplayed stock copy from the Louise Neal collection, in its original Bell Records factory sleeve. Here's another new one on me! This Linda Carr single is dynamite, with to-die-for Northern Soul-style dancers on both sides. What's amazing is that these tracks were produced at Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals by Rick Hall, and "Everytime" is penned by Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham, whose writing claim to fame include many of the best Deep Soul and Funky Soul tunes of the 1960s. Here, the band, writers, and producer show they can make Motown-style (Northern Soul) soul with the best of 'em! Note: This beautiful stock copy's labels are about as close to flawless as possible for this kind of inked-on labels, and the record also has pristine Mint audio. I'm grading the vinyl Near Mint to reflect some very light storage wear.
