This great song was first released in mid-1967, but didn't do so well on the pop chart. In 1968, after Campbell had a couple of Top 40 singles, Capitol re-released it. The second time around, the tune did better, but still only barely cracked the top 40, amazingly enough. The 1968 release reached #44 on the Country chart and #39 on the Bilozoard Hot 100. This is a copy of the original 1967 pressing on the orange/yellow swirl label. I love this one so much, I wanted to celebrate the great audio on this copy by making an mp3 "snippet" for you to hear... Enjoy!
