Good Vibrations/ Let's Go Away For Awhile

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original Capitol Records factory sleeve. Yes! I found two copies of old "new" store stock on a recent shopping expedition to New Orleans. This late Beach Boys classic is almost impossible to find nowadays in this condition. By the way, it's interesting to note that this single sits way up at #6 on the Rolling Stone Top 500 list, while Dave Marsh doesn't include it in his 1,001 list at all! In this case, I think RS made a good call: "Good Vibrations" is a masterpiece of studio craftsmanship, songwriting and vocal talent that's hard to top. By the way, this was a non-album single. Note: These previously un-owned copies have some outer-ringwear on the labels (just visible on the right-hand side in the scan), so their Label grade is Near Mint. The vinyl looks untouched, and aside from a very occasional light artifact on this extraordinarily quiet audio track, the audio is Mint (not perfect, but about as close as a vinyl pressing can get).
