From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy with a small, oval gold sticker on the labels (one method used to indicate a "cut-out" record). This was the group's first Roulette release, a reissue of songs they had originally recorded and released on smaller labels in 1963, when they were known as just "The Shondells." It turns out that in their original incarnation, this was mostly an instrumental surf-rock group. If you listen to the terrific B side rocker, you'll see what I mean! Besides being a surpringly good surf instrumental, it's also interesting to note that the chord progression is identical to that in "Hanky Panky." Note: This old store stock has light storage wear, with notable outer ring-wear on the labels, resulting in an EX+ grade for the labels. The vinyl grades Near Mint, and the powerful audio is close to pristine.
