I Still Love You

Originally released on Uptite 250. Now here's a single that truly deserves its high spot in Kev Roberts' list of the 500 greatest Northern Soul tracks. To describe it, I couldn't possibly say it better than Roberts does in his book:
Why is this one-off release on Uptite so good? Well, the tempo is ferocious, string arrangement tuneful, and as for the lead and background harmony--just awesome. A perfect dancer and quality old school.

This U.K. reissue uses a reproduction Camo/Parkway label design to highlight the fact that the recording sessions took place at the Cameo/Parkway Studios in Philadelphia. I guess the group couldn't convince Cameo/Parkway to release the track, however. The B side here is an apparently previously unreleased 1969 track recorded at Bell Sound studios in New York, titled "The Movement."
