Viewed as a novelty single when it hit the charts in 1969, "Israelites" proved to be one of the most enduring pure Reggae classics and as a groundbreaker that opened the doors to the Jamaican music in the U.S. The track is the work of legendary Reggae producer Leslie Kong.
