Jackson is a classic and one of the duo's best-known recordings.. in fact, it was their first and biggest hit, with "If I Were A Carpenter" coming in a close second. Note: This copy comes in a vintage Columbia Records factory sleeve. Its labels grade a strong EX, missing Near Mint as a result of some light ringwear on the label's light "bubbles." The vinyl likewise grades EX, reflecting some light scuffing. I finally decided to grade the audio Near Mint overall, but be warned: Whatever machine (tonearm, stylus) handled it caused a wear pattern that's the reverse of the usual, which is where distortion increases as the record plays toward the center. In this case, the audio starts out sounding strong-EX-ish but then clears up and sounds pristine (this happens sooner on the A side than on the B). So that's why by the end I was left with a Near Mint audio feeling. It's quite a wonderful sound by the end!
