This was the group's first single recorded in the ascendent "Sound of Philadelphia", with Gamble, Huff, Thom Bell, and Bobby Martin at the helm. And it was a helluva indication that something great was about to come out of this old vocal group. Just listen to the unusual (for 1969) intro to the track, and then they follow up with that beat!
