This is a new, unplayed stock copy from the

collection, in its original Mercury Records factory sleeve. This rare 1967 single features two dynamite Northern Soul-style dance tracks as backdrop for Hendrix's amazing pipes. Hendrix was one of Ray Charles' Raelettes... in fact, I believe it's Hendrix who does vocal counterpoint with Charles in the classic "Night Time (Is The Right Time)". (Factory sleeve nerd alert: This is the first "new" orange Mercury sleeve with rotating purple arrows, which has an ad for a Mercury-branded turntable on the back. According to 45-sleeves.com, this type of sleeve was used only from late 1967 to mid-1969.) This is the first pressing, with the "old" "black mask" logo; Mercury was switching to the newer oval-logo design at about this time, and most copies got pressed with the newer design. Note: This beautiful copy grades Mint overall, with nearly flawless labels and crystal clear, pristine Mint audio. The vinyl (styrene) gets a grade of Near Mint to reflect a few spots of light, superficial storage wear.
