RnB/jazz singer/keyboardist Grant had one enduring Christmas 45 — and this is it! If you buy this record,
please be sure to check out the surprisingly muscular, Rockin' RnB rendition of "Jingle Bells" on the flip! Frankly, that's the song that impresses me most of the two of these "Bells" classics. First released in December 1966, this version of "Silver Bells" was a hit on the Bilozoard Christmas chart in 5 out of the next 6 years! Its first time out, the tune only reached #15, but the single's subsequent chart history shows what a big Christmas hit it really was in the late 1960s:
- 1967: #4
- 1968: #6
- 1969: #3
- 1970: #4
- 1972: #8
Pretty impressive! Note: This beautiful promo copy has pristine Mint labels, and the audio also sounds close enough to perfect to call Mint. The vinyl looks untouched.
