Sock It To Em J.B./ The Charge

Master drummer Sandy Nelson took a detour into Soulsville in 1966, inspired no doubt by that scene's incredible vitality. As the title says, the A side is a cover of a tribute written for the King of Soul, Mr. James Brown. Both sides of this little 45, one of Nelson's hardest to find and most sought after, are incredible slices of uptempo instrumental soul.
