Stubborn Kind Of Fellow/ My Baby's Back Again

This very rare issue is one of the few singles released by McCoy in the 1960's, when he was a sought-after harmonica player and session musician recording with the likes of Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison. McCoy later started a country music singing career in the 1970's. This early release finds McCoy and his crack backup band the Escorts doing a lively version of Marvin Gaye's classic, and a terrific, soulful ballad on the flip. McCoy was like Roy Head, straddling the line between country and soul... a style that was particularly in evidence on outings like this one.
