Somehow, I can never get it through my head that "Love Is A Beautiful Thing" was not plugged as the A side of this great single. Not to knock the more Garage-ish "You Better Run," but "Beautiful Thing" is just that... a masterpiece of late 1960's blue-eyed soul infused with that flower-power, beautiful-day, got-to-be-free spirit. Credited to the Young Rascals. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Atlantic Records factory sleeve. Its labels are Near Mint, with just a hint of ringwear (see scan). The vinyl has a few scuffs and one weird manufacturing-error bump (which has almost no noticeable effect on the audio... I think I heard one or two instances of very light surface noise over the "bump") on the B side ("Love Is A Beautiful Thing"). If you're a fan of "You Better Run", the audio will disappoint you, as it has some unusual surface noise that occasionally intrudes, though no noticeable distortion except toward the very end; I'd grade this side separately at a strong EX. If like me you prefer "Love Is A Beautiful Thing," you'll be quite pleased with the nearly Mint audio: The vinyl on this side of the record has very little noticeable surface noise, and the sound is clean and undistorted.
