You Can't Sit Down/ Stompin Everywhere

Here's a beautiful copy of this doo-wop classic, together with its stunning picture sleeve. The Dovells had two smash, neo-doo-wop hits in the early 1960s — this one, and "Bristol Stomp" from 1961. Both tunes are on the want list of every rock'n'roll fan who digs songs from the 1961-63 resurgence of doo-wop, and even some Northern Soul fans seek this one out for its sheer danceability. Sadly, despite their popularity, neither song is available on reissue, and it's not easy to find copies in this condition. Note: The 45 record itself has Mint labels, and the audio sounds pristine. The picture sleeve grades Near Mint overall but has a few tiny flaws (small sticker, "72" stamp, and staple hole in upper left corner) (see scan).
