You Can't Sit Down/ Wildwood Days

The Dovells had two smash, neo-doo-wop hits in the early 1960s — this one, and "Bristol Stomp" from 1961. Both tunes are on the want list of every rock'n'roll fan who digs songs from the 1961-63 resurgence of doo-wop, and even some Northern Soul fans seek this one out for its sheer danceability. Sadly, despite their popularity, neither song is available on reissue, and it's not easy to find copies in this condition. Note: The A label has a faint printing error (see scan), and the flip has a tiny date written on it.
