You Don't Own Me/ Run Bobby Run

Here's a beautiful copy of this proto-feminist declaration of freedom from male domination... still quite moving today and worthy of a 2-star recommendation from us (our highest). On a lighter note, it's also in some ways the precursor to "Girls Just Want To Have Fun." :-) By the way, if the arrangement sounds like Shadow Morton's work with the Shangri-Las, perhaps that's because here's where he got the idea? A possibility. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Mercury Records factory sleeve. It grades Near Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl (styrene), Audio). The vinyl has a few light scuffs, but the audio sounds almost pristine.
