Suzanne is Suzanne Mullins, and on this single her credits also read "With The Band-Aides". Hard to characterize... It's not quite folk, and not quite country, and not quite rock'n'roll or rockabilly. Definitely not easy listening. Oh well, that's probably why Suzanne Mullins didn't get much airplay with her handful of singles in 1961-62... even then, programmers couldn't quite figure out what pigeonhole to use for her.
