Don't Try To Take The Fifth/ Tulsa County

This is a copy of the Sisters' very first single, which finds them on Atlantic (where they had two 45s released) doing a terrific uptempo dancer. The song and production follow right in the footsteps of current monster hits like "Want Ads," "Mr. Hot Stuff," and "I Want You Back," and though it's just as exciting as those, the formula failed for the Pointer Sisters. It was until 1973 that a producer found their real groove with the classic "Yes We Can Can."
