Laid Off/ The Beat Of My Heart

This is an original copy from the Louise Neal 45 Collection. This obscure doo-wop single has two high-energy numbers. I was immediately taken with the flip, which is almost a catalog of "Mr. Bass Man" antics alongside the excellent tenor and falsetto vocals (have a listen to the mp3 snippet to see what I mean). Note: This 45 is among those in the Neal collection that she may have actually played, but no more than once or twice I would guess. In this case, the labels grade Near Mint, reflecting a few light touches of storage wear and two black "x" marks on the B label (see scan). The Near Mint vinyl is very lightly scuffed. The audio also grades Near Mint, as there is a touch of surface noise in spots (mostly inaudible).
