Uptight (Everything's Alright)/ Purple Rain Drops

Man, it's hard to get yours hands on a fine copy of this single, which is probably the greatest record Stevie Wonder made in the 1960s. Essential Motown! And yet, for some unfathomable reason, it got the axe a couple of years ago by the only reissue company still making it. Go figure. At the same time, they cut "Signed, Sealed And Delivered" from the catalog. :-(  The audio is glorious, in that big, sparkly way Motown had of mixing their vinyl singles back then. This is a first-pressing copy with the "Globes" Tamla logo. Note: This single is from a large collection we've purchased whose records typically have mint or near-mint audio and near-mint vinyl. The labels are near mint as well, but the owner had a habit of writing a date in small print on the B side label. The label also has a small drill-hole (see scan).
