Bruce and Terry were more famous for their work with and in other bands than as a duo. "Bruce" Johnston became a Beach Boy, and Terry Melcher produced The Byrds and Paul Revere & the Raiders. Both guys were also members of the surf group The Rip Chords. "Carmen" is a sublime "Surfer Girl"-like anthem. Note: This promo copy comes in a vintage Columbia Records factory sleeve.
