These original mono Motown releases really do sound better on 45 rpm vinyl than on any other format, and here's an example that demonstrates this fact. This is a first pressing of the rare promo 45 for this classic — which Dave Marsh pegs at #50 in his list of the 1001 greatest singles ever — on the script-lettering Gordy label. Note: The labels grade EX, reflecting light ringwear (see scan) and, on the B side, writing over the logo. The vinyl and audio grade Near Mint, reflecting a touch of storage wear and very light, occasionally audible surface noise.
