He's An Odd Ball/ By Some Chance

This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the Louise Neal collection. As far as I can determine, this duo released only two 7-inch singles... both on Motown's V.I.P. label. The A side here is definitely worth seeking out, striking an impressive mid-tempo dance groove. (Note that on some releases — including a different U.S. promo copy — the title spells the last two words on the A side as one: "Oddball." I suspect that this two-word spelling is the first pressing, as one-word "Oddball" is far more commonly found.) Note: This beautiful promo is so close to perfect that I'm grading it Mint in all respects (Labels, Vinyl, Audio)... a real treat!
