From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. This is an amazing updating of the Buddy Holly sound, from the delicate feel of "Everyday" to the raucous growling of "Rave On." It's one of the best tributes to Holly's lasting influence on rock'n'roll that arose from the early British Invasion period, when bands from the Beatles and Hollies on down were lining up to display their Holly and Crickets heritage. Jameson's singles are collectable partly because of his association with Frank Zappa (who produced and arranged one of his singles) and other participation in the mid-1960's California rock scene. This single is particularly prized as Jameson's first vinyl recording.
