Ruby Tuesday/ Let's Spend the Night Together

Here's a beautiful copy of the original pressing on the turquoise London swirl label. Collector nerd alert: Although "Let's Spend The Night..." was the originally intended A side, it was quickly eclipsed by "Ruby Tuesday," which went on to top the U.S. singles chart, whereas the original A side stalled at #55. (Both songs entered the Bilozoard Hot 100 Singles chart the same week in January 1967, but "Ruby" started its run from a higher position on the chart.) This is why we list "Ruby Tuesday" as the A side: It may not have been the record company's plan, but the record is remembered for what became its A side. (You know, the song that spawned a restaurant chain?) By the way, this was a non-album single... neither side appeared on a contemporary Stones LP. Note: This copy comes in a beautiful, Near Mint picture sleeve with two small flaws — a "36" inked on the sleeve and a pair of staple holes just above it. The 45 itself looks almost new, with Near Mint labels and vinyl (styrene) that grades Mint in appearance. I'm delighted to report that these fragile grooves preserve pristine Mint sound... no surface noise and no distortion! (This scan is a representative image from our archives; it doesn't show the "36", which is in the light blue background at the top right.)
