Smooth Operator/ Warm It Up, Kane

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. Here's a gorgeous, pristine Mint copy of Big Daddy Kane's biggest RnB/Black chart hit, one of his signature outings in great demand by Rap and Hip-Hop aficionados today. And don't neglect the terrific B side... another classic of early Rap! The labels indicate these are both the same as the album versions, though of course you get superior audio from a 45 rpm record than from an LP, because of simple physics: Because it spins faster, the 45 contains more audio information and can accommodate a louder volume and a higher dynamic range than a record spinning more slowly, at 33 1/3 RPM. (See my online "book", "The Joy of 45 Collecting", for an explanation of that. Or just imagine a flip-book with 100 pages flipping at 33 pages per second... producing a nice animation of the images drawn on the pages. Then imagine a flip-book with 150 pages flipping at 45 pages per second... the animation is the same length in time, but you now have 50 more pages, so the animation is smoother and can render more detail in the drawings. It's something like that with 45 rpm vs. 33 1/3 rpm records.)
