This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the

collection, in its original Chess/Checker/Cadet factory sleeve. As great as the A side of this single is, it's the B side that Dave Marsh honors by including it in his list of the 1,001 greatest 45's. Of course, I rate "Tell Mama" 5 stars in my iTunes library, which translates to a 2-star recommendation on Classic 45s. So I'd say this rare promo copy of one of Etta James' very best singles is cause for celebration... Enjoy! By the way, there were three of these promo beauties in the Louise Neal collection; I believe this is the last of the three copies. This variant has "D J Copy" on both labels; some promo copies only show the phrase on the A side. Note: This copy has pristine Mint audio, both sides. I've graded the labels and vinyl Near Mint to reflect faint signs of storage wear. (The vinyl also has a faint "wave" that's not noticeable until the 45 is spinning and has no effect on the playback.)
