This is an illuminating set of six 45's that Marc Bolan released in the mid-1960's, as his style evolved from a kind of folk-rock in the style of Donovan and Bob Dylan (the first single here, originally released as by Toby Tyler) through a rocking mod-rock style to a proto-psychedlic sound that made its way into his prime T. Rex work. Each of these singles was previously released, and many are impossible to find nowadays. I found a good
website with full discography for Marc Bolan, which was useful because as good as this set is, it's missing any kind of session details for each record. The six singles have custom-made picture sleeves featuring pictures of Bolan in the 1960's, and all are pressed on high-quality vinyl with a small hole. \r\n

The two singles Bolan recorded with Jim Ecconomedies producing (Third Degree and The Wizard) are particularly strong.
