Al Casey

Al Casey was a renowned American guitarist, known primarily for his work in the genres of rockabilly and jazz. Born in 1936, he gained prominence in the 1950s as a member of rock-n-roll pioneer Duane Eddy's band, Rebels, contributing to their distinctive "twangy" guitar sound. Casey also had a successful solo career, with his 1962 instrumental hit "Surfin' Hootenanny" illustrating his ability to blend surf rock and rockabilly styles. His contribution to the development of rock-n-roll and his influence on later musicians underscore his significance in music history.
