From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original cardboard sleeve. I got two copies from this source, one of which has a brown color scheme (and the other a red), and one whose label shows the name as Gene Norman Presents, while the other simply uses GNP. (In case you wondered where the GNP label came from, now you know!) Both have the same music, with a ferocious, Nigerian-inspired drum offering on the A side, "Star of Africa" featuring Art Blakey and Sabu Martinez backed by Buddy DeFranco and orchestra. The flip is "Body And Soul," featuring Ed Shaughnessy backed by Charlie Ventura and orchestra. I believe the "Gene Norman Presents" copy is the older of the two. However, the "GNP" copy has a nice blurb about the music on the back of the sleeve.
